At the 2003 Paris Air Show, Mr Jean-Pierre Raffarin, Prime Minister of France (left), met Mr Pierre Tamagnaud, CEO of SETAM CARABIN.

For twenty years, the companies SETAM CARABIN and SIMOP have taken part to the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, near Paris. Every other year, you are welcome to come and discover our latest range of products. The next show is scheduled from June 13 to June 19, 2005, Hall 4 -- Stand A-10.

Merge of SETAM and CARABIN April 2004

The merge of the two companies SETAM and CARABIN, performed January 1st 2003, is very well perceived  and reinforces the position of SETAM CARABIN SAS in the aeronautical and military sectors.

KVAERNER EUREKA December 2003

KVAERNER EUREKA chose SETAM CARABIN for the renewal of 45 Motor gears for the TOW missiles launching turrets. These turrets are mounted on several vehicles, including the M-113 of the Canadian Army.

EADS Defence December 2003

SETAM CARABIN received an order notification for 50 positioning jacks for the T72 vehicle gun turret from EADS Systems & Defence.

QUALIFASDecember 2003

SETAM CARABIN quality system successfully audited. Based upon ISO 9001 version 2000, the reference system used by QUALIFAS auditors is more constraining and specific to aeronautics requirements.

New gear boxes for the AMX 10 RC December 2003

Following the GIAT Industries contract for the study and the design of 2 exits corrector prototypes for the AMX 10 RC, SETAM CARABIN was granted an initial order for 25 correctors, followed by an additional order for 150 units.

This is 2 exits angle shafting whose total need will reach 300 units over the next 5 years.

Six azimuth/elevation gear box sets for SAGEM turrets were delivered

1800 Gear Boxes for the AMX10 RC September 2003

Within the renewal program of 300 AMX 10 RC vehicles, SETAM CARABIN was granted a contract for providing 6 x 30 lateral transmission gear boxes (6 per vehicle, for a total of 1800 boxes).
